The Institute for Commercial Literacy is dedicated to introducing and perfecting the art of commercial literacy delivery to children and young adults in a way that is fun and beneficial to them, their communities, and our global community for life.
Every person living in the United States since the 1980s knows Accounting and Financial Literacy have been "oddly absent" from childhood education. However, few know how easy it could have been to teach, learn, and do with pencil and paper, followed up with basic technology too.
Less people realize "General Business" was and is something that was also missing that would have been easy to include. Most realize drafting, mechanical drawing, shop class, and home economics disappeared, but they failed to ask why. They also failed to ask why general business courses needed to enliven those were never actually there either.
Since the 2000's there have been more problems related to Technology Literacy and Organizational Literacy. Too many commercial options from for profit companies without an honest baseline education as might be found in a people centric communist or socialist community has really made a mess of young and supple minds.
Most can not truly comprehend the level to which multi-century corporate systems rooted in International Trading Companies and Insurance Companies have, in fact, shaped far more of their belief system about capitalism, commerce, and life than they would ever surmise today.
Most do not realize that there are in fact Global Insurance Companies operating today that have been in continuous operation for 300 to 400 years. That is a fact that can change perceptions quickly about where we are today and why we are where we are.
As of July 2024, we really are three decades beyond commercially safe and healthy communities. We are entering our fourth decade with foundational educational curriculum problems that have been around for centuries, but have been compounded dramatically with the onset of "the Digitization of Society". At this point, it's gotten so bad, it seems long standing Insurance Companies may no longer be happy either.
In order to change the way the world learns and does Commercial Literacy, it must be done sooner rather than later, but in a fun way, because learning is best done when it's fun.
That presents a small challenge given we aren't teaching comedy, acting, music, or Chocolateering, but surely we can try to bring those in along with some additional old school creativity too?

Amidst the Chaos and Pain in Life and the World,
do mix in fun from time to time, as you are able.
Even though it may all be for naught in the end,
there in lies a secret to discover.
And for those interested in a multi-millennia long esoteric view,
Commerce is the exchange of Energy. Money is Energy in Material form.
Energy makes the the world go round.
There was and is beauty in the Indigenous, always.
There was and can also be beauty in a Commercial World, although that is hard to see right now, other than via the stone structures left to attest to a prior time.
Given the breadth of ways Commerce can be useful in conversation, as shown above, why are so many so void of simple, healthy, and proper commercial literacy? Why isn't "commerce" a word you use daily?
Is it by natural design? Is it by choice? Is it by the desire of others seeking to monopolize energy meant for broader distribution? Have you ever thought of any of this before?
The very last thing those in the stratospheres of this multi-tiered world ever wanted you to do is think about "Commerce", because once you do, you can't get it out of your thoughts, no matter how hard you try.
Commerce is what brings your games to life, and that's what ends the games of those who sought to use your energy to play with all the Magic without you, for far too long.
Truly, there is much to learn and time is forever fleeting, so we hope this hits the spot.
At an introductory level, we currently define commercial literacy as having four components:
General Business Literacy
Accounting and Financial Literacy
Technology Literacy
Small Office Organization (aka Organizational Literacy)
We intend these topics to be read at face value first. Surely you can imagine ways in which we could also have fun with them, but there is much to be had at face value that is foundational, educational, and very functional too.
From the get go, there are two areas of emphasis that we feel should be highlighted, to understand just what we are up against.
Those two areas are both part of the "General Business" Category.
Those are "Business Strategy" and "Marketing".
The chaotic world we are living in right now is in fact a result of 1) Business Strategy and 2) Marketing.
At their core, Commercial Conspiracies are just "business strategies", and it's powerful business strategies of others that are the source of all economic and physical pain right now.
Without having the word "Commerce" on the tip of your tongue, those that spoke of "conspiracies" were blown off as "conspiracy theorists". Put "Commercial" in front of Conspiracy and then convert that to foundational business strategy understanding, and you have mafias in your sites, because that is what mafias are. All mafias are merely Commercial Conspiracists, yet nobody calls them that yet? It's been too long.
If we want a better world, we will need to do 1 of 2 things
Beat them at Business Strategy and Marketing OR
Destroy this place and look forward to living the wonder of indigenous life again
Obviously, this paragraph may sound and feel like hyperbole, and maybe it should find it's way further back in this website as it grows, but didn't want to sugar coat anything for the diehards of the Pride. If we want to save the game of Commerce, we all need to come together quickly as there are those seeking to run away with the game on one side, and those opposing them on the other who seem to lack a larger understanding of the organization required to sustain their commercial worlds. Neither seem to appreciate nature, cats, or life in ways many of us do.
The Institute for Commercial Literacy will be responsible for seeking funding for projects and allocating that funding to worthy content producers. We have a few initial producers in mind, including those involved with this Institute, but we hope to expand beyond that once funding can be secured for those in the initial wave.
Our primary goal is to provide material relevant to 1st and 2nd World Countries and then develop "chapters" in those that can translate and modify the basic content for their own economic environment. A secondary goal is to attempt to bring 3rd world countries out of the dark ages.
Once that has roots, the next step will be the Institute for Global Commercial Literacy. This is the place were the thought leaders from every country gather to discuss healthy global trade and geopolitics. This is viewed as the inverted version ( the "kind" version) of the WEF.
It's fun to dream. For some, that's all they need. A dream is all they need. For others, it's far more fun to pursue it.
More coming soon...
